please help to chose and identify SD pickups

I'm restoring an old Charvel 192 and I have some SD pickups laying around in my closet
I would like to use one of these SD humbuckers in the neck position for some rock / heavy metal tones

I believe that the two are pretty rare vintage custom shop pickups and one is standard JB

Can someone help to identify the two with paper labels one says DCC and one JNJ
Also I'm curious how the two old SD pickups sound compared the JB

Thx

Re: please help to chose and identify SD pickups

i believe you have a duncan custom, a jazz neck, and a jb

Re: please help to chose and identify SD pickups

All three are regular production line examples. You are seeing two successive generations of pickup ID sticker format.

SWD Custom Shop pickups have a different legend stamped into their baseplates.

Re: please help to chose and identify SD pickups

JN = Jazz Neck
DC = Duncan Custom

The "J" and "C" at the end specify the winder. Based on the small logo, "Made in America" and 12-hole baseplates, I'd date those paper labeled pickups to sometime in the late '80s/early '90s. Do they have "Seymour Duncan" printed on the bobbins?

The one with the printed label is obviously a recent production JB.

None of those are "Custom Shop" pickups.

As for the neck, it depends on what you're after. Personally, I'd start with the Jazz and go from there. What are you using in the bridge of the Charvel?

Thanks for reply

both old pickups have Seymour Duncan logo and "Made in America" printed on the back also both pickups have printed Seymour Duncan on the front cover
actually I meant to say I want the pickup for the bridge position

the guitar is basswood with maple neck 25 1/2 scale and a single coil in the bridge which is going to be Bill Lawrence L280 is has the same polarity as the SD pickups an pretty high output for a single coil
The bridge is going to be a 2 point floating Wilkinson VS100 by Gotoh

Can't go wrong with that Jazz in the neck.
