Hi there, this is my first guitar build and I'm customising my old squire strat. I bought a preloaded HSH pickguard and pots and im looking to put my own humbuckers on it. The humbuckers I have are "Artist Bulbuckers" and have 4 wires which im familar with however the 5 way switch on the HSH pickguard appears on only have 2 wires soldered from each of the off brand humbuckers it came with. Thank you for any help yoy can provide :)

Welcome to the forum!

What you need to figure out is how the 4 wires of the new humbuckers relate to the old ones...wire colors are not standard, so you need to know what is hot/ground/series link. The manual for your new pickups should explain what wires are what.

Yeah on their website they have the north and south start and finish but I just dont know which points to solder each wire to as the previous pickups had only 2 wires

It says on the artist bullbucker webpage: For standard series humbucking operation on a 4-Conductor wired humbucker the White & Red wires are soldered together and taped; Black is ground and Yellow is Hot Output.
