Please help with wiring question.

I just bought a Little '59 for Strat SL59-1b for the bridge of my Highway One Strat. The Wiring diagram is a little vague. I understand all the solder connections except the Red and White as I understand it I need to solder them together and insulate them "they do not get connected to anything but each other"? Also any gotcha’s

Does anyone have suggestions on alternate wiring schemes and what it will accomplish?

My setup:

Default

Neck - Standard Alonico Strat Stagggered
Middle - Standard Alonico Strat Staggred
Bridge - Little '59 for Strat SL59-1b

Any help would be appreciated.

Thats basically it. Just tape them up or something, so they don't touch anything. The lil 59 is made of two coils. Those two wires are just the "other" ends. No real "gotchas" to speak of.

As for other options, there's quite a few different things you can do, such as "splitting" or "paralleling" the coils. Those are all things that involve connecting those red and white wires other places.

It would be a good idea to go to Duncans main page, mouse-over "Support", and look over the schematics. There's a lot of cool info there and a lot of options. Spend some time here reading and hanging out, and you'll get a pretty good feel for which options suit you best.

ALSO---you will want to reverse the GREEN & BLACK wires from the way they are shown in the wiring instructions in order to get the Little 59 in-phase with the Fender pickups. So, the GREEN wire will go to the 50way switch,m and the BLACK & BARE wires will go to ground on the bottom of the volume pot.
