Guys, please watch this in HD.
It is the only way you can see the amp properly.

I have no idea what Marshall it is.
Or is it a custom made amp with just a Marshall logo on it ?

Disclaimer : not my type of music, but i am curious as what amp is being used by the guitar player.

Thanx

Man, where do you dig this stuff up?!

I have no idea...the face is not gold, the logo is small, there is not solid front panel and it only has 9 knobs...

Not sure what that is except maybe a prop or something they he has modded...

Re: Please ID this Marshall amp.

Thnaks man . . .

. . . you know how it goes !

You search for something, then all of a sudden, three clicks later you find yourself in a totally diff world.

Please ID this Marshall amp.

I see a Diezel.. The "Marshall" looks like some other amp they just put a Marshall badge on

Re: Please ID this Marshall amp.

Looks like generic amp with a Marshall logo...

Goes with the generic sound, song, and video.

I weep for the state of music.

Od dear lord i hear you !!!

I had an (sort of) argument with a 30yo bloke from Serbia about 3 months ago about the band Sonica Arctica, or something liek that !

He was playing it really loud, and i asked him to turn that "generic rubbish" down, and he was taken back that i did not like the band/music.
So we got more into the subject of why i thought it was meh-music, and he just could not see my point of view.
He insisted that they are one of the best heavy bands around right now.

I just shook my head as i walked away !

Re: Please ID this Marshall amp.

It's not a bad song but nothing to write home about. I would have arranged the song differently and had her sing it differently with a lil more aggression. I agree it does sound a lil generic with the guitar tones to processed.

Re: Please ID this Marshall amp.

Its one of those Epiphone So-cal amps with a Marshall sticker on it.

Joke? Or attempt to look cool?

Either way, lame.

Cute chick made it bearable long enough to get a look at the amp.

Re: Please ID this Marshall amp.

It'd be nice if they held the camera still and actually have the band do something other than jumping around like H4RDC0R3 bunnies. That, or you know, they could make an interesting video instead of a blank white background and jumping like idiots with the camera annoyingly being put in and out of focus.

Why exactly are you curious about this 'Marshall' amp? Not like you can really hear it through over-production, scooped mids + too much gain, muddy downtuned guitars, and loads of compression. Not a very pretty sound. Kind of ear grating actually.

While I am not a big fan of modern heavy genres I don't mind certain bands that are poppy in production (although different to this style i guess) like early Linkin park, Evanescene, Bullet for my Valentine etc (I prefer say Black Sabbath, earlier Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Hair Metal, Pentagram) but that was just a kinda **** song with boring music which I hear way too many bands like on the radio (and this is coming from a guy that listens to alot of 80s new wave.....

Re: Please ID this Marshall amp.

Well that's 2:47 of my life I'll never get back - couldn't make it to the end - I could make comparisons to others acts, but I don't feel they deserve the whiff of 'guilt by association' that would inevitably follow me doing so.

So there was an amp in there was there? Unfortunately, it kind of escaped me.

Re: Please ID this Marshall amp.

I guess I have bad taste... I didn't mind it at all! It 'sounds' very Zakkish... Kinda like a boosted 800, but looks like a DSL in a wierd housing.

Re: Please ID this Marshall amp.

Looks like a rehoused amp or just a logo thrown on (WEAK!). Music does blow, however SirJackedFuzz, Sonata Arctica is way above this crap....legends of power metal actually.

Anyways, I think this amp was only used for the shoot as it seems to be regular black/gold Marshalls (900 or DSL's) and Diesel's on their stage setup

Now we're talking.

Big Pentagram fan here !

But bands like the one i posted, as well as stuff like; Sonata Arctica, Evanescence, Epica, Within Temptation, Kamelot . . . they do nothing for me.

In fact i will turn off the radio when this pop stuff comes on.
