I have only Modded my Marshall with Metro boards... and that was only because I had to.
Heybor Irons, mallory caps... the only thing that I would like to change back is the large blue tone caps...
I have the vintage (what 30pf?) I preferred the tone of the stock (50pf?) big blue cans... my Plexi is a Whitney, but I have had similar work done with it.

Excuse my ignorance... I almost know what I am talking about...

Jeff's last name is simply Seal if memory serves me!

Also, Jeff's calling card is not a modded Plexi but a modded split channel 800...anyway, I hear through the grapevine these days thats Jeff's super busy fixing amps...

I played one Bray modded amp, smokin amp for sure but personally I;d rather have a nice stock Plexi...

Well Ken oversaw the technical development of the plexi from the JTM45 through to the end of the plexi era, so he was making all these modications and revisions to the design. I think that makes him the most important modifier of plexis.

I have heard that he has retired and is living near Kent now.

I had a feeling thats what you wre talking about but since he's not out there (and never was) in his own shop adding gain stages, master volumes and effects loops I don't count him...

Okay I have no problem with that, but doesn't my vote support the idea that plexis are best left stock, or as modded by Ken Bran?
