During practice, it fell off a desk and the power input got puched in a bit. now it will not turn on. any ideas what happened/how to fix it? i opened it up and nothing broke off.

Re: POD problems

Man, I'm not sure. Could be that the connector is now 'too deep' in the socket to snugly connect to the adapter? That's my first idea, but with these things it could be almost anything.

Is the thing under any kind of warranty?

Re: POD problems

I’m guessing you either broke the jack or sheared off a component lead.

Usually ICs and surface mounted components can handle the g-force of a drop, but larger and / or vertically mounted components (i.e. electrolytic caps, V. regulators, etc) have too much mass and inertia to handle a sudden stop.

First inspect the jack, it’s leads and the solder connections for breaks / cracks.
Then look for broken leads and cracked solder pads on the larger components.
