Could you tell me what could be used as a dummy plug? Would a dummy plug just be something like a guitar cable plugged into the send socket with nothing connected to it?

You could use the jack you get from headphones that converts from the small size (don't know actual measurments) to the standard 1/4 inch guitar jack size.

Re: Pod XT Live

It's kinda funny you mentioned this SpeedDemon because my fellow guitarist (and lead singer) is looking to do the same thing as you. He's still strongly considering it, but he may just opt for a decent tube amp (he's looking at the Hot Rod Deluxe as we speak).

FWIW, I think you're onto something SpeedDemon. My singer has already invested some decent change for a decent PA for playing out (so we don't have to depend on a sound guy to carry us live). If you don't mind that it's not tube, the flexibility will be a big plus for you.

Thats my reasoning, money. Seeing how I am only 15 and I don't have a job anymore I only have so much money on hand, and a PA for the band is needed. So I just figured that instead of saving up and blowing alot more money on a new amp I could kill 2 birds with one stone(well sort of) by buying the PA and the Pod XT Live to run through the PA.
