POD XT owners, users and abusers

Davey

Goliath of Tone
i got a couple of questions.

do you use it as a computer recording device? with the GuitarPort software?
if so, can you tweak ALL the amp models, effects and whatnot that are featured in the XT? when you save the preset you made, does it save only on the hard disk or, do you have an option to save it INTO the POD???

i'd like to have all of these answered if possible.

thx for any input guys

Yes, Via USB

with the GuitarPort software?
Not all the time, but Yes.

There is an update I need to download, it lets you use the model packs and updated cabs etc, you can use them anyway, but you have to select them using the knobs on the PODxt and the amp panels don't come up on guitarport. I am under the impression that the update will sort this.

I think you get a choice of either, it is very easy to move tones etc.

Wow, I was actually some help! LOL!

Generally you save to the POD first. You can then do a dump of the entire unit to a file. The other option is to completely control the unit from the computer. When you do it this way your setting are saved to the hard drive.
I prefer using the computer. This way the POD itself doesn't need to be in my work area. I have a a set of Amps set up that I like. I then tweak each to suit my various instruments and dump them to the PC. That way, when I record for other people I can load up presets appropriate to the instruments without any fuss.

Re: POD XT owners, users and abusers

why i am asking this.. i'm thinking of getting rid of the guitar port and the big amp, then buy the XT, since that way i can be mobile with all my presets, go to a friends place, plug in his board and be good to go with a ****load of amps and more diferent sounds than you can shake a stick at

Re: POD XT owners, users and abusers

The POD is the way to go then
