Re: PODxt the best?
I bought a POD XT Live over the weekend, but I think it's going back. It's made very solidly and delivers some nice tones with some dimension to them (i.e., a sense of space or air in the sound through headphones). However, I think the regular POD XT is a much better option for home use. The output level knob on the XT Live is small and a little hard to reach, it's tougher to tweak on the floor than a bean on the desk, and the floor unit is huge. My only real reservation about the XT series is that there seems to be way too much treble in all of the standard settings -- even with my LP Studio, let alone my Teles. I may check out the Vox Tonelab as an alternative, but that or the standard XT bean look like better recording solutions than the XT Live to me.
