Wow! That many? Does that imply that there are decent SS amps available? Or does the whole tube thing scare people off (If I gigged, I couldn't blame them)?

Noth

I'm just guessing on general availability and low price of a lot of solid state stuff. Granted most of them are probably collecting dust in some teenagers closet, but they sell thousands and thousands of the little things. The Vox valvetronix is about the only ss Iv'e ever enjoyed playing.

This one has a tag board but still has that's "rat's nest" quality. I love the way it sounds, though. :)

Now, I'll never worry about my wiring looking messy or being hard to do troubleshooting with. :smack: Cool pic.

Ever seen a board (not specifically in an amp) with "dead bug construction"? That style has a very "interesting" visual impact also.

Love the pics in this thread in general. Thanks for taking the time to include them.

Alec, what the hell is that white stuff all over the left-hand end of that board? Did the circuit excite you that much?

Epoxy. A lot of Dumblesque amps (as well as the real deal) have the circuits obfuscated by goo.

I dig that amp and I'm not alone. At a Gear Page get-together last weekend, more than one guy said "Oh, so that's what the big deal is about Two Rocks". When you can impress folks from that crowd, I think it's pretty noteworty. :)
