POISON: C.C. Deville's pick-ups??

Re: POISON: C.C. Deville's pick-ups??

I honestly dont know what he uses but, when I have played old Poison tunes, a Full Shred got me the closest!

The answer is clearly obvious, and you are all missing it. CC Deville uses the CC....HELLO!

Seriously, I have always dug Poison's music. They never really tried to make political statements, or and of that other heavy crap. They made fun music about naked girls with big tits, and about bangin them. Nothing wrong with that.

I dig a lot of their stuff.

Make fun of me at will.

I bet it was somthing cheesy like.......Hey baby wanna share some hair spray?.

Damn! I so wanted to post something like that!!!!! So close....

If you can't nail CC's tone with a stock epipup, and a digitech rp-100 through a crate solid state, just stop playing guitar.:smack:

He should never be on anyone's tone/chops of the gods discussion. But he played perfectly tasty fun licks through perfectly tasty pop metal songs. I like listening to them, I never turn one off when it's on the radio. Poison/CC did a lot more way listenable stuff than a lot of things that were out at the time. When's the last time you saw a Cirith Ungol reference here, or WASP, or Faster *****cat? POison pops up fairly regularly. Think about it....Who out there thinks Just Got Lucky by Dokken is better in any way than Nothin But A Good Time? Lynch rules in all ways. I love Mr. Scary, but come on....I can listen to Fallen Angel way more times per year.

:laugh2:

I'll agree though. The first album was fun...and chicks def dug it...so it was good stuff to play or listen to :D 16 yo girls didn't really care for my band at the time when we would play some UFO or a Whitesnake (pre-1987) tune...but when I'd start up Talk Dirty To Me...it was an instant hormone boost :chairfall

Cry Tough, and LWTCDI are great songs. But with fame...the makeup, attitudes, and material got worse and I quickly came to despise them..but that pretty much goes for all the LA bubblegum hairmetal bands. I suspect it's the same thing as how "the kids" here on the forums talk about nickleback?

Re: POISON: C.C. Deville's pick-ups??

Gee, of all the great sounding guitarists out there, I would have never imagined anyone would want to sound like CC. Sorry, if I make anyone mad, it just seems funny to me.
