yes it has the ring holes. i was thinking about direct mounting, but i wouldn't know how high, or low to set the pickups. plus the routs are pretty large. it wouldn't look good

ahh that sucks. Generally when I direct mount I either use screws that are finer than the pickup hole or drill the hole out a bit and place a spring between the body of the guitar and the bass of the pickup. That way you get all the benefits of rings without the rings themselves.

Anyway back on topic. I would definitely go black on black then!

I like cream/cream best on that guitar.

Black/black is OK, different coloured rings just look awful! (IMHO.....)

Looks corny to be exact. Whatever the choice is, don't combine different colored rings.
