I picked EVHs out of those, but id rather have SRVs(but not number one... thats for him and hima alone) or Clapton's Blackie, or maybe Roy Gallagers strat. Im in a strat gas mood since i have a g&l tele now.

I chose the Van Halen guitar, for obvious reasons, but my dream aquisition would be either

Clapton's Blackie
Buddy Holly's 54 Strat. #1 or #2
Hendrix's white strat
SRV's main axe
Jeff Beck's TeleGib or that 56 Les Paul
Billy Gibbon's main 59 Paul
BB King's main Lucille
Willie Nelson's butchered old acoustic

I'd go for Schenker's V, probably because he's my favourite of the guitarists listed. But I'd love a V anyway - a Gibson with easy top fret access that you can't play sitting down, that's my kinda guitar

BTW, what's the point of getting a guitar with no strings attached?

Now THAT's a list of serious artist instruments.That poll is pretty metal, 7th, which is understandable considering your tastes.

GJ, I seem to remember that BB hasn't had a 'main' Lucille for some time, if ever. He's used countless Lucilles over the years.

And Steve Vai's original Jem isn't the one to get. The most important Jem, at least to Steve, is EVO. Check out his site, it has it's own tribute site.

To me the grail would be SRV's 'number one'. Precisely what I'd do with it I'm not sure. Perhaps play it once and immediately give it back to the Vaughan family.

i picked joes chrome boy of those, its a cool guitar.
but id really like to have duanes sg or 58 les paul, the paul is worth more but i like playing sgs better

Of the one's listed....I'd take Eddie's guitar. The guitar I really want is Slash's original 59' Les Paul. I seem to remember that he has one of the lowest serial numbered "classic LP's" know to be in existance. And I really dig Slash.

Yeah...I remember that part. But it seems like in that Gibson book "Beauty of the Burst", they list Slash as owning one of the lowest serial # 58's or 59's....now I'm going to have to look it up. My memory get worse and worse each year. :smack:
