Hello everyone... I had a Squier MIK Standard lying around for a project that never happened so I decided to make it into a "Poor Man's Gilmour". Check it out...

The last picture is a photo of my Custom Gilmour Strat and this Squier version. They look identicle!!!

This guitar is lightly relic'd with no dings, just honest playwear. The neck is in very good condition with very little fretwear. It features Gotoh MIJ tuners, Fender MIM standard trem with updated block, new black pickguard with 3 unknown single-coils, full size pots, full 5-way switch (not box), and the Gilmour stealth switch that turns on the neck pickup in any position.

The guitar plays pretty well. The pups are decent. The neck pickup is pretty good, the bridge is a stacked pickup that I think sounds a little thin.

This would be a great guitar for someone who wanted to bang around, or even a great option for someone who wanted to mod the pups but didn't want to go through the trouble of a full wire-job.

Anyway... looking for $300 shipped. Drop me a line! Thanks!

Re: Poor Man's Gilmour

I wish mate, I wish.

A Gilmour strat is the ONLY strat I want. Here's a free bump for you and some good luck!
