Possible Custom Shop 78 for Sale - Double Cream

As the title says im pondering selling my double cream 78 thats currently in my strat. Its a lower output 78 i bought from Martinsixstrings about a year ago off this forum. If i remember correctly its about 8.25k instead of the "standard" 8.75k it was to be mounted on the neck position but i bought it off him to install in the bridge position and i've also posted clips of how it sounds and it sounds exactly like a 78 only its slightly lower output so it balances a little better with single coils and since i have a HSS config it worked perfectly but its not working for me anymore as i need a higher output pickup like a JB to match my other guitars for when i do gigs. Its single conductor and has tons of lead left on it, i bought it for 120 if i remember correctly. I'd probably let it go for 90 its in almost mint condition with no rust or anything. Anyone interested? could be interested in trades too but im not really looking for anything in particular atm unless someone has a rack mount tuner they'd want to trade.

sounds interesting.. what color are the bobbins on the crazy 8? and what are the specs on it ive never tried that pickup how does it sound compared to say a JB?


and it was supose to be a neck 78 but there was no label saying neck or anything on it when i bought it sadly thought the label fell off at one point inside the guitar and i could never find it i do remember it saying 78 Model or something to that effect in a tiny rectangle white label with rounded edges, stil have the original box it came with somewhere i could find it if needed. Its the real thing you can look at my history posts and find the original post where i bought it from Martinsixstrings just about a year ago... btw anyone know what happened to him? he was my favorite duncan dealer.. and i must have bought over a dozen pickups and stuff from him lol

i'm curious about the crazy 8 but i cant find any clips or anything and i'm afraid of not liking it then having to re-post it on here to sell it lol it does sound like an interesting pickup...:scratchch

Ya i seen, thansk for the the link but gives me all the info on the crazy 8 from the SD web site but i didn't see no sound clips or any description on how it sounds all it says is it was created by the forum memebers which is cool, kinda like the brobucker was created and i'm sure it sounds great but ill have to research more thoroughly to see if its something id want
