I have a Blackmore Stratocaster on order and was told yesterday that the middle pickup slot is blanked over with a standard empty pickup cover. It's a normal pickup cover in that it still has holes for the polepieces. I was told that that holes are "filled in" in or blanked over with a piece of black foam jammed into the inside of the pickup cover.
That seems like a less than satisfactory solution.
For that reason, I'd gotten to wondering if it's possible to purchase an empty AS-1 Blackout pickup cover? Of course, it would have to have the threaded brass inserts for the pickup screws, but nothing else.
If it has the "Seymour Duncan" logo, all the better as that would match the Quarter Pound pickups in the guitar. If it wouldn't have the logo, that's fine too.
Anyone know if it's possible to purchase an AS-1 Blackout cover?
Please let me know.
Thank you.
