I must admit, after the recent thread about the $10,000 Parker Fly, I want one. I went through their website and I'm GASing! Post if you have fly GAS!
I guess the only downer about Parkers is the incompatibility of pickups you buy in the store with the guitar's routs, but I suppose that only applies to those with an Eric Johnson chromosome.
I would absolutely get one- I am all for ergonomic, high tech guitars which conform to me, rather than the other way around.
If it came with Duncans, you can replace with most Duncans...if it came with DiMarzios, DiMarzio makes many models that fit the Fly.
I have a Mojo with a Distortion in the bridge and a Classic with a Steve's Special in the bridge.
Psshh.... if the design isn't at least 50 years old, it's not worth using.

Aye, would love a Mojo or P-36 (the Southern Nitefly is the pricier version), which is the T-style (not the P42). Ash body, maple neck, Fishman piezo.
I did see one of these in a shop I went to a while back. Should've picked it up and given it a whirl. They're supposed to be cool for the $$.

I played Parker Fly Deluxe when it first came out. I loved it, especially the smooth trem- smoother than an Ibanez Edge. My only gripe was the neck was too small for me near the nut- I have big hands. I wish they made one with an 1 11/16 nut width.
My EBMM Axis with the same neck width works for me since the neck is a bit thicker
I really like that $999.00 P44 all Mahogany Parker.
Also the tele-like P4-something . . . real great altenatives !!!

As I said before, MJ rebuilt my pups. Sounds great now. The Fly mojo comes with a SD set.I had bad Fly GAS 'til I played one. I found the magnetic pickups only slightly fuller sounding than the piezos.
This is true. One of the reasons I'd like a singlecut. I rarely have difficulty with it, though. As for ergonomics, depending on where you let it hang, the upper horn can dig into your ribs.
To each his own. I doubt I'll ever be without a Parker. I started with a Nitefly (passive single-coils) and then got Fly Deluxe. I'd like a Mojo.I admire the vision and innovation that Parker had, but the implementation didn't turn out to be my cup o' tea.
