I quite like the color of your LP. What is it exactly?
And your sig says it's a studio standard... ??? That sounds strange, could you explain?

the color is kind of custom. this guitar got water damaged under a previous owner's care, so the guy who had it before me bought it cheap, filled in the holes where another previous owner routed it for Peavey T-60 Blade pickups which are bigger than regular humbuckers, and stripped the whole guitar and then refinished it. He tried to get a gold top, but ended up with a gold/copper type blend. I like it a lot. I got a good deal on some Seymour Duncan 59's ($50 for a set (neck/bridge)) and bought new pots and switch, and a new logo for the headstock (the guitar lost the logo and serial number when he stripped the finish but luckily he wrote the serial number down)

As for the "Studio Standard" ..it wasn't made for too long...but in the 80's they wanted to fill the gap between a Studio (dot inlay, no binding, etc) and a Standard (trapezoids, binding, etc) so they made a Les Paul Studio with binding! I like it a lot and it's got SO much vibe and mojo that I haven't really lusted for another Les Paul since I got it.

Holy crap! It's a girl!

A very nice looking one indeed, and there's nothing wrong with it.

By the way, how does the Pacifica play? I saw a bunch of them in the Guitar Center the other day and I was thinking about buying one to carry out my pickups' mix and match experiments.

Not much but I've only been playing 6 months. I also have a POD 2.0 and a Peavey Envoy 40 in Edinburgh. I replaced the bridge pickup on the blue Charvel (1988 model 4) with a Seymour Duncan Full Shred and the model 1 is soon to have a BillLawrence 450L in the bridge position.

Holy crap Pierre, my first good guitar was a red Model 1...JUST like that one!
Great minds think alike :22:
I can't play it though. Totally unplayable. Buzz everywhere and all I know about setup didn't change it. I'll restring it again and see what gives... meh.
The model 4 plays better than any guitars (including a beautiful American Jackson SL2 Mhmmm) I played. Lowest action I've ever seen, no buzz no matter the tuning... Mhmmmmm :32:
