Post Your Les Paul Standard/Traditional

Re: Post Your Les Paul Standard/Traditional

Its a 2014 Classic..not a standard or trad

I converted it to 2v2t

2004 Standard '50's neck. Bought it new back in '04 – still have it. Still all stock aside from the addition of a pickguard and thumb cutters. Hard color to photograph correctly; I'll have to do a "real" photo shoot one day to try to get the color right. It's a pinkish/yellowish white that bursts out to an opaque medium tan. The sides, back, and neck are plain clear gloss.

Yeah, it's stock. It's really the only reason that I decided I had to have the guitar. Also, there was a deal at the time in which another Gibson guitar I'd been eyeing was thrown in for free (a Les Paul Melody Maker). I still have both guitars, though over the years, I've actually played the free Meolody Maker more than I've played the Standard. There were several crazy/cool colors available on Standards at around that time. There were at least a dozen colors to choose from when I bought this one. In addition to Latte Cream, there was Gecko Burst, Pacific Reef (awesome trans turquoise), Manhattan Midnight Blue, Root Beer, Amber, Desert Burst, Light Burst, plus several standard colors like Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Wine Red, Gold Top, and Vintage Sunburst.
