had to do it again. mik epiphone explorer with a pgn and ccb, swapped out all the gold hardware and put in chrome. polished the hell out of the neck, plays like a dream!

Re: Post your main guitar

Rondo has some 1/2 and 3/4 scale guitars that also have the intonation range on them, and they start way up from E.

It might stay in tune enough if I only give it 1 or 2 strings. My boys probably don't need more than that yet anyway.

KAM I dig that single pickup Axe.

Thanks, man. I'm pretty fond of it, too. :beerchug:

What's the string system you have on the green one? That's a classy combo.

It's not actually green. It's just a really poor photo of a white guitar.

Now I'm kinda wishing it was green.

That's just a basic hardtail TOM-style bridge with an unnecessarily large tailpiece.

It's the Ibanez Omar Rodriguez-Lopez sig that was discontinued last year at some point. Here's a stock pic that shows it in more detail...

It's a seriously fun guitar.

It's a seriously fun guitar.

It's pretty much right up my alley on the visuals too. After looking it up, those parts are relatively accessible. I seriously like that Gibraltar bridge, and the gewgaw plate really flusters my danglies in a good way.

Re: Post your main guitar

No fancy photo because my webcam isn't great but this is my main one.

2-piece swamp ash body
Musikraft neck (I think, I got it a long time ago)
JD Bridge
SH-55b Neck, screw coil de-wound about .6k
A3 slugs for the pole pieces on the bottom 3 strings
Push-pull for series/parallel and a spin-a-split

I need to finalize the setup but minor intonation/string action issues aside this is my number one now and for the foreseeable future.

Re: Post your main guitar

Here's my 2011 Fender Standard Strat. 2 piece ash body with teh Sienna Sunburst.
It's got the Klein S-7 set which supposedly were reverse engineered from the Fender EJ pickups calling for A3 mags in the neck and middle with vintage output, and an A5 overwound bridge. I actually have the A3 pickups in the neck and bridge now and disconnected the middle and dropped it down.
I used to set the bridge to float but I have it decked now so that bends stay in tune. D'addario 10s. I love the bridge no-load tone control, the 2pt trem, and the "increased mass bridge block". Guitar's name is Arisa. Part of the funding for the guitar came from the estate of my late grandmother via my mom's inheritance, so this guitar reminds me of family, and I'd have to find a really, really killer strat to ever sell this one. Got it from Wildwood guitars.

Wish I still had the DRRI

...and some more pix. They were shot in dark, crappy light, so I had to boost the exposure quite a bit...but they show the guitar well enough:

Talk about fine-tuning it the way you like.

I always liked the big Tele pickguard since it places lots of controls in a decent looking manner.

My custom-built 2010 Will Stinnett SS6 (but I got her in early 2011), loved her from the very moment of inception to the first time I got her in my hands, all the way to today, about 3 years later a few weeks give or take.

From the builder's archive:
25.5" scale * Black limba body * Flamed maple drop top * Wenge / Mahogany 5 piece neck
Ebony fretboard * 24 stainless steel medium frets * 10-16 compound radius * Gotoh Floyd Rose bridge
Seymour Duncan "Custom" & "Jazz" pickups / master volume & tone / coil splits / 3 way toggle switch / treble bleed
Nitrocellulose lacquer finish / oiled neck

Although the bridge pu has since been swapped with a Tom Anderson HN3
