Post your main guitar

Re: Post your main guitar

Very cool! Do you use the middle pup (by itself) a lot? I seem to not use the middle on my Strats unless I have all 3 going... I checked out the Iron Gears and they look very interesting. Thanks for the heads up on those.

i like the middle pup by itself but its not my favorite though.. LOTS of variations on the sounds with all the switches

yea.. those iron gear pups is alot of bang for the buck imo..i like em and own like 2 singles,2 humbuckers and there actives... out of all of them.. i'm not as pleased with actives as with the others..

Don't have a 'main' in the mean time. This one's my current squeeze.

Re: Post your main guitar

Just scrolled through and realized I never posted in this thread. I'm not around here as much recently - had my third son and took a demanding job. I haven't played guitar in probably 2 years. I gave my 335, Squier '51, and whatever else I had to my dad. I think I used to have 10 guitars. Now, I have my '96 AmStd Stratocaster, that purpleheart Telecaster I built, and my SX STL50 white Telecaster, plus my lifer '98 Guild D30 (Westerly, RI).

The '96 AmStd Stratocaster is my goto, despite years of dual humbucker and P90 life. I sold my Les Paul Custom and my PRS. I don't know why, I wish I had them back every time I think about it. My Fender roster is good though.

purpleheart Telecaster has a Road Worn MIM Stratocaster neck, plus a body I built with A5 pickups and a ton of pimpin style. It sounds great.

My main player at the moment is not even an electric, picked up this Takamine 12 for my birthday the other week and just can't help playing the beauty :)
