Re: Post your pedals.
I'm can't post them as pictures but, here goes:
I just started using a Fulltone Fulldrive II and an SIB Varidrive as my distortions. That may change, I was using a Fulltone Octafuzz in "fuzz" mode and a Marshall Jackhammer as my distortions. I also use on occassion the Tech 21 American Woman, and I used to use an old Pro Co "RAT" and a Lovetone Meatball but they need some repairs. I'll soon be adding a Jaques Aquamarine and a Fulltone Ultimate Octave pretty soon.
I use a Barber compressor and may also put the Menatone compressor on the pedalboard too. The Menatone has a nice impact on the tone when tweaked right but the Barber is magic with the strat.
I also use a Fulltone Clyde Delux wah, a Maxon AF-9, and a Fulltone Choralflange.
I have a Morely Sapphire Flanger which I used to use a lot. I use the Maxon phaser (the one knob one) and a Moogerfooger phaser. I also use a Moogerfooger Low Pass Filter and a Mooger Ring Mod, and when the moogers are controlled with the CP-251 and a lot of cables and pedals you can get a serious range of sounds.
The Dunlop Rotovibe and Tremolo (the one in the wah housing) jump on and off of the pedalboard as needed.
My Vox Wah hasn't been used in along time because I really like the Fulltone.
Finally, not pedals but important, are rackmout Lex Vortex which I use at home or for recording odd stuff, a Furman PEQ which is a real nice tone shaper, and a BBE Sonic Maximizer 482 which I love on electric guitar and bass and sometimes on some acoutic guitar as well.
I might be adding a Morely "Lil Gator" volume pedal. I'm checking it out today to see if I like it and if it isn't noisey. It goes through the amps effects loop as opposed to in front of the amp (although I think it can be used in front with active electronic guitars) and I'm hoping I can control my volume as I switch guitars and pedls without impacting the way I hit the amps preamp.
I like pedals. When I 'm playing as the only guitarist I like fuzz tones, but when I'm playing with other guitarists I like having a range of pedals so I can really choose my sounds better. The other night I was testing out 6 pedals with a band and the Fulltone Fulldrive sounded best and the Varidrive was tweaked to give a real over the top sound that worked great for those "specail" applications. Going in I expected the 69 or the American Woman to be the right pedals with this band-- good thing I checked them all out!
