Re: Post your Stratocasters

My Strat–all Rosewood neck on a Fender Roadworn body (Alder I believe) loaded with Fender Fat 50s. Added a baseplate to the bridge (like a Tele) as well as a On/Off switch for the Neck pickup so I can it on with any position (allows for a Tele-like N+B as well as N+M+B.) Quite a fun guitar.

Color is actually a greenish blue metallic that stubbornly photographs as sky blue with any digital camera

Here's my 1998 Fender American Standard Stratocaster that I bought in a pawn shop back in 2005 for $1,100 that included a Fender hard shell case. I ebonized the rosewood fret board with ebony wood stain and it turned out pretty good. This guitar plays incredibly well and is a keeper.;)

You're right...CDN dollars. I actually aged the plastics myself by soaking all the parts overnight in a big mug of black coffee...a tip I got from a YouTube video. I also installed a neck pick up on/off switch so I have 2 extra tone options...bridge & neck pup out of phase & all three on at the same time. They call it the David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) mod since he has the same switch on his black Strat. Here's the video that gave me the tip for aging plastic parts on my guitar.

Re: Post your Stratocasters

Matching headstock , different hardware?

That's part of it. It has 22k gold plated hardware. It also has a heavy brass trem. The 2nd tone control is not a tone control, it is a 2 position switch that adds these settings (stock):
neck and middle pickups in series
middle and bridge pickups in series
neck and bridge pickups in parallel
neck and bridge pickups in parallel, with the middle pickup in series
It was made between 80-83, and officially in 3 colors: white, red, and lake placid blue. Mine is a rarer one in Sapphire Blue- not many were made. You can read more about the series here.
