Pot values for Tele Hot Rails bridge?

Hey all,

Newb to the forums and I have a question...

I have an American Performer Tele converted to an Esquire and I just picked up a Hot Rails for Tele bridge pickup because this dude doesn't abide the sound of the stock Yosemite. Standard advice seems to be 250K for single coils and 500K for humbuckers but I wanted to ask for opinions/experience on what might be a better option for the single Hot Rail? The 920D Eldred pre-wired control plate I have (that came wired incorrectly!) has 250K pots so it would be a simple swap if I stayed with that but I wanted to ask before tearing into the guitar.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!
They were made for stock replacements, so I've used 250k and they sound great. If they sound too dark, you can go in afterwards and change the pots, but start with 250k.
