Hi Guys, I'm a new member looking for some opinions on what pot values and capacitors might work best for a couple of lapsteels I'm building.
The first is going to be my personal guitar. I intend to play mostly rock and indie type stuff with it. I really dig Ben Harper's sound.
The pickups I'm using are a Tele Little '59 in the bridge and Duckbucker at the neck. The control set up is two volumes, two tones, and a 3-way switch.
Since these pickups are designed to be replacements in fender guitars, will I be better off using 250k pots, or since they are humbuckers, should I go with 500ks?
Any opinions on tone cap values?
The second guitar is for a friend that is likely to use it in a more rock/country style.
The pickup in it is not a Duncan, but I figured some of you guys might have experience with it. It's going to have a Dimarzio Chopper-T in a tele bridge.
The controls are one volume, one tone, and a parallel/single coil/series switch.
My questions are the same concerning the pot and cap values.
Thanks, Shannon
