POTS for Fat tele

for a tele with pickup config of

B - single coil
N - humbucker

the pots should be?

A) V - 250k, T - 250k
B) V - 500k, T - 250k

i'm thinking of going A with a little twist: for the neck humbucker, i'll bypass the tone pot for more top end

Re: POTS for Fat tele

Totally depends on the humbucker.

A JB would sound good with 250K pots...

But most like to see 500K pots.

Seems like most Tele single coils sound best with 250K...though some (like a Alinico II Tele neck which is warm in tone) sound fine with 500K.

You'll have to experiment...I would.

yeah most likely that will be the way to go... i'm leaning towards a 500/250... the bridge pu is an ANT II tele and the neck is an Antiquity humbucker, which depending on the resulting sound may or may not be replaced by a Seth Lover neck
