Having issue with the Power Stage 700. Last night at a show it would cut out for a few seconds then come back on. Both red lights would come on. I think one is for temp and the other over current. Any one else have an issue. It is rack mounted. Sides and back around it are clear. I assume it was overheating?

welcome to the forum!

i would assume it was overheating, yes. ive had class d pa amps trip into thermal protection before, sucks at the moment, but its better than having permanent damage to the gear

I thought they had fans, what the heck. Would you say it was working super hard, like cranked or at very low impedance? Was it super hot at the venue?

It was an outdoor show on July 3rd. It was hot and humid. I was pushing it hard into 1 4x12, turned it down hoping it would help, it did not. They do have a small fan in the back. Guess it is not enough to keep them from overheating.

once these things get hot, it takes a while to cool off. especially if its that hot out. its in a black rack i assume? other things in the rack with it? the new fans should help at least a little
