Power supplies... again....

I am trying to work out how I can power 10 - 12 pedals max from one unit and I am thinking of a Voodoo lab, MXR DC brick or T Rex unit. My question is that, if I understand correctly, these units that have 6 - 8 isolated outlets are the equivalent 6 - 8l individual power supplies? So I am assuming that I could run a couple of pedals from each outlet if I need to? I don't want to buy (nor can I afford to buy) 2 units, so how do you get the power to more pedals than outlets on your power supply? Hope this all makes sense.

Re: Power supplies... again....

The smallest T-rex has a 5-way daisy chain cable supplied with it. If its multiple od units that you kick on only 1 at a time thats a great way to get power to multiple units with only 1 outlet. The larger T-rex units should be able to do this too. I think 300mA is the max drain, don't take my word for that though - look into it.

Re: Power supplies... again....

You can daisy chain 2 or more pedals from one output from any of those isolated supplies just read the specs on the power suply and on the pedals and do not exceed the max current draw...

Thanks fella's, I'm going into town tomorrow to see what deals can be had. I've sourced some Hexaboard and going to build a pedal board that will incorporate my Sennheiser wireless too. Hopefully I'll have everything I need in the next few days to put it all together.

This thing looks freakin' awesome. Good price, too. I'm gonna need one of these.

If you don't need 3 amps of current, the 2nd 1 I linked to is the same apart from it only gives out 1.5 amps and is only £12 :friday:
