Power supply cable won’t plug into my wah completely.

I was wiring up my board with my zuma power supply. And noticed the power cable will not plug in the the jack of my wah completely. If I barely touch or move it it falls out or stops working. I have tried reversing it and using the straight end but it does the same thing. It’s a tight fit but won’t go down all the way. Has anyone else ran into this if so how did you fix it? As it stands i will have to go back to batteries in it to make sure it works properly.

There are a lot of variations to the 'standard' AC jack, many with different sized interior diameters. My guess is that you either have an unconventional AC jack on the wah or an unconventional cable.

Yes. I’ve had the same issue but since I have cables from 3 or 4 brands, one of them worked.

Been there, problem can be two things.

Rarely-1. The diameter of the plug.

Most likely-2. The length of the plug barrel/sleeve is short & it's plastic casing is touching the pedal thereby preventing it from going in further.

The fix:
1. Solder a long barrel dc jack.
Or
2. Check online for a longer barrel dc cable.

Thanks guy I picked up another power cable and it fits perfectly. I have never understood why they recess the power plug on wahs so much.
