Practice amp help, suggestions?

I can't stand this crapper Kona practice amp anymore. I need something better and I'm looking for a 15 to 30 watt practice amp preferably with effects and semi good distortion. Right now I'm looking at the Spider 2 combo and a Roland cube. I have played the Spider 2 and love it but how is the Roland? Any suggestions? No vintage sounding stuff or any of that junk, I play prog metal and need something that does that moderatly well.

Find a Vox Valvetronix AD60 or 120 head and use it with your 4-12. You'll probably realize it can double as your low volume practice rig AND your high volume gigging head. I'd put money on the Vox vs. the H&K Attax 100 for both situations. The Vox has more versatility, FX, and a variable wattage selector, so you can get great gain at whisper levels.

I like the Vox hybrid (silver grille) series better than the Line 6, but that's usually just me.

tech 21 bro...at least give em' a try they have a trademark 10, 30, and 60 that should fit the bill...and you can get one used for good $$$!

I was pretty impressed with the Cube for a small, inexpensive amp. They're very loud and have a pretty good sound. I ended up getting a Blues Jr. when I went to try out the Cube 30, but it's mainly because I knew I really wanted a tube amp and this one actually fit into my budget. Nothing wrong at all with the Cube.

well, they aren´t as good as the older ones, but its like the "gibson crusade", if you find a good one, it will last forever...at least my spider 2 combo sounds awesome (for practise, of course...) for the price i get it...

anyway, if you can find an old flextone over there, get it

DONT look at the Hughes and Kettner Edition Blue, I know you are an H&K guy, but I had one for about 3 days and it stunk!

Don't worry, I'm not, I may actually see if I can get another Attax but in a combo.
