Pre-Vacation Gear Acquisition :)

Came into possession of a Weber 1230-55 8 ohm yesterday! Its now residing in the cabinet of a 1962 Deluxe. 1st impression is it definitely takes that amp in more of a mini Marshall direction.

Didn't come without its share of "drama" - my soldering iron died right after de-soldering the old speaker. Had an alternate means of attachment available so used that.

Postman also delivered a Hipshot Contour bridge for my CS Strat - I cannot stand this weird bar that's on it right now - very high and thick!

I seem to be in the habit of buying gear right before going on vaca. I've had to ask sellers to delay shipping to ensure that I was in town when it arrived.

What is fortunate for me is its always a staycation. Any traveling I do is on the employer's dime.

I actually have an experiment and a bridge swap to do in addition to tending to the leaves (which will need to be done multiple times) so more than enough to do.
