Preamps vs Ipad modeling

I currently use my ipad into a Tech 21 power engine. I use bias, Jamup, Ampkit, and Amplitube. I really like the sounds I get. I also am happy with how close they model the amps especially Bias.

If I am planning on using the Power Engine as my main "amp" would I be better suited with some sort of preamp (ADA, Axe fx, Jmp 1, AMT) ?
Do these preamp react and and sound "better"?

If you like the sounds you're getting, might as well stick with it!

Of all of those options, the Axe FX II is the only one that will likely sound better than what you're using and still feel somewhat amp-like. I've never played an AMT, but both the ADA and JMP-1 sound closer to a modeler than a dedicated amp.
