Price On A Jackson Profesional Series Fusion

I got a buddy who called and ask me what he should be able to get for his Jackson Profesional Fusion. Made sometime in the 90's dark maroon and rosewood or ebony board, looks more like ebony, bot not 100% sure. It has a Jackson branded FR trem, but is almost identical to the old OFR I had on my 86 Kramer. all original hardware and pups a solid 9 out of 10 condition.

The last Jackson Pro I had was back around 99. It was a Rhoads and I let it go for around $300 back then. Have no idea what they are doing now pricewise.

Thanks

did those have a 24 3/4 scale on them... isn't that part of the mid 90's Performance series... if it is $250-$350

Re: Price On A Jackson Profesional Series Fusion

No, the professionals were the Mid to high range , with the upper end Jap ones fetching 100$ less than the Identical USA guitar new and pretty much the same used.

Does it have MOP sharkfins and Binding? If not I´ll need pics to say anything exact, but if it DOES have MOP fins, buinding and an ebony board, you´re looking at a use price between 500% and 1k depending on who´s buying and total overall condition ;)

It's been awhile since I actually looked at the uitar, but I want to say it has dots. May be wrong though. I'll see if I can't get some pics this weekend.

Re: Price On A Jackson Profesional Series Fusion

The EX was the lowest end of the Japanese Professional series. 24 fret rosewood fretboard, slim maple neck, poplar or basswood body depending on mood of the workers that day (kidding, just don´t know the exact years ;)), Takeuchi made JT-580 Trem (identical to the Ibanez TRS units in all aspects save the "Jackson" stamp), decent japanese pickups. HSS I think but could be HSH. Great bang for the buck, but not illustrious in any way.

I´d say about 250-400 used, but I´m not that up to date on import prices..

A performer should say performer, the only reverse headstock one was the PS-4: Schaller knockoff trem (JT.500), alder body maple/RW neck, HsH config.
