I'm actually going to sell my Two Rock and go smaller. Before the end of this year, I'll have my Pro Reverb completely rebuilt and probably have a new Deluxe Reverb in the stable. Small is good, big is not good for my situation. Mostly taking up too much room.

These DIY kits look neat!!! Do they come with wiring/soldering diagrams? Also i read on one of the sites that solid PINE is what Fender used for amp cabs back in the early days.... Would that be true for the 65 Blackface Deluxe i own? Is Pine a good cab wood for Fender style stuff?

We'll see. I think it's a great little amp, but I think the DR is a LOT better amp. Just my two cents. Marsh is a nice guy. I've never seen his kits, but I've sent a few emails back and forth with him. Seems incredibly helpful.
Whofan, if you can solder and put together a puzzle, get a kit and get the high from plugging it in for the first time and hearing your creation come to life. It's a very nice feeling.

That's my problem...I was thinking the Princetone was a 6L6 amp, but it's actually a 6V6 amp. Clearly the Princeton gained wattage over the years from 12 watts in '64 to 20w in the 80's and they finally decided they didn't need the Princeton 20w and the Deluxe Reverb at 22w.

Good choice. My deluxe works wonders in jams, and i can get it up to 8 for a pretty rich distortion during a practice. I plan on retubing with JJ's before anything melts on the amp, and throwing in an EV speaker for loudness.
