Problem with a pup cover.

Hello fellow Duncan users!
I have recently fallen head over heels for the Seymour Duncan black winter.
I am trying to install one in my sweet les Paul special.
My problem is. I have covered pups in the Paul,
I'd like to cover the black winter I bought.
It's a standard spaced (not trembucker) and
The Seymour Duncan nickel regular spaced cover
I bought seems too small and the bobbins aren't lining up.
Have I bought the wrong cover? Can you not cover the BW?

Welcome to the forum.

Please can you include either a photograph of your guitar or a link to the manufacturer's product description?

To guitarists of a certain age, the Gibson nomenclature "Special" indicates dual P90 pickups

Thanks for the welcome.
It's a dual hunbucker Les Paul special Faded.image.jpg

Re: Problem with a pup cover.

The problems not the guitar.
It's that the standard spacing black winter pickup I bought
Won't fit a standard spacing Duncan nickel cover.

Re: Problem with a pup cover.

there 4 different string spacing with humbucker as far as i know. if the difference is small say 49.2 mm to 50 mm, a round needle file will help.
