Problem with dunlop 535q wah...calling pedal experts!

Ive got some gigs coming up really soon and i need to get this pedal sorted out before they happen. The wah works most of the time but every now and then it just cuts out completely. Sometimes when it cuts out the volume just goes really low like its only letting in a fraction of the signal, and when it does this all i have to do to fix it is press it on/off depending on what position it cut out on...then once i do this the full signal comes back and i can push it back to where i wanted it first and it will work fine.

eg. I used it to wah up a solo not long ago and the signal was fine before i pressed it on, then the signal went very weak and clean (from very distorted) when i turned it on, so i quickly turned it off again and then on again and it worked properly...but you can imagine what sort of a pain this is during a gig!

Really after the pedal experts here to see if you can tell me what the heck is going wrong with this so i can fix it if its easy or get it fixed.

Thanks :D

1st of all, check you batteries. This wah takes 2 nine volt batts, I would start there. If you are running the wah without batteries via a power brick or something of that nature, you need to make sure that it has a 18 volt connection, a 9 volt connection will not work.

I'm sure that you need new batteries or a better power source if not using batteries. You might want to invest a couple of bucks on a can of tuner cleaner from Radio Shack and give your wah a bath with it, just to clean whatever maybe dirty.

Hope this helps!
