Project Epiphone SG Experimental Painted Finish

Is it ugly enough only it's creator likes it? I hope you like it too. Tell me what you think.
I attempted to give the guitar a molten metal(s) look. Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro/JB sounds great. Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Project Epiphone SG Experimental Painted Finish

I dig it, might look better with a black guard I'm thinking to add a little contrast.

Re: Project Epiphone SG Experimental Painted Finish

Metal pickguards add sustain?
To some extent. If you were to hang a metal pickguard and a plastic pickguard, then lightly strike them both with a hammer......what would you get? The metal would either clang or ring out like a bell while the plastic would provide you nothing. I make guitars with a brass face and they absolutely sustain longer.

I don't know about the metal pickguard. It think a black one would look better. Other than that, the guitar looks good to me.

Looks like it belongs on the set of the original Star Trek series...

I'm picturing an anonymous ensign jamming away on that right before he gets shot by a Klingon or something.

I agree. Other than it being an Epiphone SG, it looks kind of other worldly.

Re: Project Epiphone SG Experimental Painted Finish

I think the guitar looks pretty rad!;) It sure beats looking at red SG's all the time.:) I think Mr. Spock is digging too. It must be them pointy horns or a slight resemblance to a Romulan spaceship.:naughty:
