Props to Todd at Guitar Revolution

Gotta say thanks to Todd. Don't know if Joe has him on this board or not, so pass on my thanks to him Joe.

Got 4 jj el84's and 4 more of the Groove Tube 12AX7 mullard copies.

These 8 tubes when put together are about the size of a softball. They came to me shipping in a box designed to hold about one and a half basketballs. I've never received tubes from anyone that were this well packed.

Very unbelievable when I opened it up. That's a very nice touch. :cool3:

Re: Props to Todd at Guitar Revolution

Sending glass items out to all corners of the world is not easy. Todd can't risk broken or defective tubes, because his livelihood rides on customer satisfaction. As it is, he makes a very small profit margin, mostly because he wants to remain the least expensive and highest quality tube dealer. I can't recommend him enough. He's a truly cool guy, knows what he's talking about, loves cool gear, and supports his wife and two children by running a grass roots business. I thought what he does was easy, till I saw what his daily life is like. He works twice as many hours as the average businessman to ensure that his merchandise gets shipped same day, without any issues. I don't make shameless plugs for just anyone. For him, I will, anyday.

If you ever need tubes, speakers, or other small guitar/amp related parts, you can always find his link in my signature.

He's great. I mistakenly bought the wrong tubes for my Ampeg, and he gladly took them back. :bigok:

Re: Props to Todd at Guitar Revolution

Todd is the man. After personally speaking to him, I can see he's really into tubes and his biggest concern is customer satisfaction. That means a lot to a consumer like me. Friendly, courteous, helpful are just a few of his traits. As far as the tubes, they arrived flawlessly, very fast and well organized. His prices seem to be the best around so for me, it's a no brainer situation... I will gladly purchase tubes from him in the future. As long as he's still around (which, by the quality of his service, will be a long time) I will continue to purchase from him and him exclusively (unless for some reason I need a tube he doesn't carry).

Re: Props to Todd at Guitar Revolution

I don't think there's any tube he can't get. He's a dealer for Groove Tube, Svetlana, Tesla JJ, EI, and is pretty much plugged into the NOS crowd. He also has every color of amp Jewel light, too. My Bogner looks killer with the amber jewel to match the grillcloth. You should see how he packs an amp! You could literally drive over it with a UPS truck!

I'll add to this praise as well. I bought some jj 12ax7's and Svet el34's and paypal had over charged me on the shipping. I didn't catch that, but Todd sure did and emailed me about it & refunded the over charge. The tubes were packed VERY well and I got them in just a couple of days after ordering. Todd :arms: :yourock: gets a big thumbs up from me!

Re: Props to Todd at Guitar Revolution

I knew of a Todd Richards waaaaay back in the day here in Portland. He sold my brother a Kramer and a Crate 1/2 stack (like I said, waaaay back in the day) at a local music store. This Todd was very cool also. I wonder if it's the same guy??

your bogner would look killer with a Shrek booger as a jewel light.

It came with the Shrek booger green jewel, but the tiger's eye amber looks way sweet!

More Praise for Todd at RevolutionGuitar. I buy all my tubes from him. He is great to work with, ships quickly, packs neatly and tight. Very good on price. Carries about any tube you'd need,..........just a great guy to do business with. :)

Re: Props to Todd at Guitar Revolution

Right now, I'm sitting here at his shop in Venice, Ca. We're playing my new Tele through some Fargen Blackbirds, a 1970 Superlead modded to the hilt, and also a Fargen Mighty Plex. I had to show him the thread on his business. Maybe he'll pop on here and start getting addicted, one of these days.

Re: Props to Todd at Guitar Revolution

Hey since I started the thread, you ought to get him to send me some extra GT 12AX7M's! :)

I wonder if GT has ever been backordered on any other tube, besides the 12AX7M?
