I'd say that is a good description of a korina guitar. Back when I was in luthier school, I built two solid korina electrics...1pc bodies, 1 pc necks, rosewood boards, set neck, Gibson scale length. Their about all I've played for the past 15 years. Before that my main guitar was a '89 Gibson Fly V ('67 reissue).

...it sounds like a nice solid mahogany guitar but with a little more air to it, a bit more clarity but I hear nothing in it that reminds me of maple.
