Where/how can I get one of the 5 way rotary switches that PRS uses? are they standard pot size?

just call PRS and order one. They'll sell you parts directly if you ask nicely. :)

they actually use a slightly differnt sized hole in the guitar than the standard 3-way uses. It's not much of a diff, but you do have to be carefull making that hole slightly bigger. Mostly you don't want to fudge up the finish around the edges of the hole.

I'd put masking tape along the edge of the existing hole and go very slowly making it bigger. The masking tape is an old trick I"ve used for cutting veneer with a circular saw. Keeps the edges from splintering. In your case, it'll keep the poly from splintering and cracking. Just go slow and easy.

Ok thanks mucho Scott! I didn't quite mean switch, I meant actual pot, as in would it replace a pot directly?

Actually the 3 way switch is bigger than the 5way. Shouldn't have to make anything bigger to put in a way

oops, my bad. I put a 3-way into a Custom 24 , replacing the 5-way (which I do not like). I had to enlarge. You won't.

It's a five click rotary knob. I call it a switch. Eitehr way, you can get them from PRS.

Matchless and Bad Cat use something similar on their amps. Essentially a 5 position tone selector.
