What is the difference between nitro and polyurethane finish? What's a 10 top? A stoptail is the non-tremolo, right? What's the tone difference between Mahogany and Maple top? And finally, is the CE 22 a quilted or tiger stripe top?

nitro and poly are both different kinds of lacqure used in guitar finishing

a "10 top" is a way of grading the figure in the wood

a stop is a hardtail or a non tremolo bridge

mahogany and maple are different kinds of wood

I dont know about the CE 22...I assume you can get either a quilt or a flame top

Does a 10 top affect the sound differently? And I know they are different kinds of woods, but do they make a sound difference? Does anyone know if you can choose quilted or flame?

Re: PRS... Again

10 top should not affect playability, but you'll only find a 10 Top PRS with a Maple top on it.

Mahogany is kinda dark, Maple is kinda bright. Together, they're magic. Check a dealer stock pictures to see what they come in.
