PRS Custom 24 Floyd \m/

Hey guys,
Completely new to the website here and was just wondering your thoughts on the new PRS \m/ pickups in the Custom 24 Floyd models. I myself don't play a lot of metal anymore and a good clean tone is my first priority, however a good distorted tone is also a nice bonus. Does anyone have any experience with these pickups and the tones they put out? Are they good for clean tones as well as distortion, or are they designed specifically for metal players only? Absolutely love the look of these guitars and would definitely get one if they were pretty versatile. Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

My preference being for the PRS six screw fulcrum vibrato and locking Schaller 'heads, I have made no effort whatsoever to try out their Floyd Rose equipped models. Even if I had, it would not matter.

The only worthwhile test is for you to try this guitar out for yourself.

Personally, I would go for a Carvin with a Floyd- Carvin's CT top series with the new Kiesel pickups.

PRS are awesome guitars, I have a stop tail, and I think their strength is in their stop tails or PRS tremolo. If you;re going for a Floyd model I'd go for a Carvin and save a few bucks

Think of the "\m/" model pickups as souped up Tremonti pickups (because they are). Not my first choice for clean tones, but they'll do. All depends on HOW clean and what you're specifically looking for.
