Hi
if you have these guitars

the pickups : are they good enough or not enough harmonics and power for the bridge position for example?

have you changed the pups of the S2 c 24 or se floyd rose? for sh 2 sh4 for example

Re: PRS custom 24 s2 or PRS floyd rose se : their pickups

The pickups in both of my PRS SE Singlecuts were brittle sounding and not very good.

Great guitars for the money (under $400 used) but lousy pickups.

Duncan PG's turned them into pro instruments tho.

And a set up: fret polish, lowering the string ht. at the nut, setting the intonation and string ht. at the bridge and new .010 strings.

PRS should make the SE models with very good pickups !

They do.

Only they're made in the USA and sell for a couple of grand...or a lot more! ;)

The SE's are the best bang for the buck guitar I've owned since the Japanese made Fenders of the 1980's...but just like those Japanese Fenders they need good pickups to become pro instruments.

You get what you pay for.
