PRS Singlecuts. The Next Big Collectible?

Re: PRS Singlecuts. The Next Big Collectible?

I'm curious about the difference between the Singlecut's #7 stock pickups vs. Duncan pickups. So far, I've tried the Custom 5/59 combo in my McCarty and it sounds great.
I can imagine that 59/59, JB/Jazz, or C-5/PG would be great in Singlecuts!

Well Joneser , PRS PUs are full of mids and the #7 is far from being the best PU made by PRS.
Personaly I hate PRS PUs and I always swap them for Duncans.
I like low output PUs and all the PRS have too high ones (exept Archtop) and I like the PUs with low mids and all the PRS have too much mids compared with the bass and high freq.

PRS make huge guitars but he should let Duncan equip his axes !!!

Ferrari doesn't make his tires , let the pros do the job !

Yeah, of all the PRS guitars I've had or tried, the McCarty pickups sounded the best to me, but even those aren't as nice as a good set of Duncans. The HFS (Hot Fat Screams) even made me sell a guitar I shouldn't have sold. All I can say is "don't bash PRS till you hear one with worthy pickups." The only thing I've ever tried in a PRS is a zebra C-5/59 set. Sometimes, I wish I had ALL the Duncan pickups, so I could find out which one sounds the best in each guitar I own. Now, I just go by my educated guess. One of these days, I should buy a bunch and return the ones that don't end up staying in a guitar.

I'm a big fan of a pair of 59s for PRS guitars. Nicely balanced and musical. No pumped up bridge tone.
