I'm kinda goofy in that I always bring my best stuff to gigs. So if I was going to gig my Friedman BE100, the Wildwood Taco would get dragged along as a backup. I was gigging a lot in the late-90s and had just stepped-up to a PRS CU24 from my cheap strat and LP Studio. I traded the LP in on the PRS, so that left the MIM strat as backup. Every time I would break a string on the PRS and had to finish the set with that turd, I was deflated. So even though I was a young family man of very limited means, I ordered a second PRS CU24 as a backup and spent the next eight months working on how to pay for it.

At any rate... I think it's great that one can buy a tube amp at these prices... especially for guys who are unable to swing better amps. I've been tempted to pick up a Bugera 1960 head for next to nothing on several occasions. When I was younger and had little money, I would have killed for these kinds of deals.

I've been thinking about a cheap gig backup, but I definitely want solid state or maybe a hybrid. I've considered trying to find a Marshall MG100, or Valvestate 8100, but my cabs are 16 ohms and I don't know if I'm OK with being at less than 50W. Maybe one of those Quilter micro heads with a distortion pedal?

I like this amp because it is 30/100 watts. I am so ready to pull the trigger on this. My last issue is it says FREE SHIPPING and when you look closely shipping is $50. For $200 I have a few more options.

Message the seller, tell them the text states free shipping. It has a make an offer option, maybe Nady will agree to ship it free.

sure curious how it sounds... says it can do jcm 800 etc. The listing says so, it must be true right?? lol.. but def curious. espec at the price
