Not a fan of GL.

Had 2 out of 2 of their products die twice on me. Only a couple months old.

That’s unfortunate. I really like Maxon and that’s the only thing I’ve bought from them.

I love their 9-series stuff. They go for great prices used and the quality seems/sounds top-notch.
The only thing with the pro+ versions is that they require some extra m.a. headroom upon startup due to the 18v charge-pump.

Yep, and I still have my first 808 that I'll probably keep until death for that silky smooth compression it adds to an amp's dirt channel.

I love the OD808; it's very close to my first TS, which I got back in 1980 (retired now after many years of active service). I've sometimes been tempted to try Maxon's larger 18V version. But between the 808 and a Pale Horse my TS needs are covered, both classic and extra tweaky.
