Pssst! Wanna buy a Phaser cheap?

Ibanez PH-5 phaser from the 90's vintage "Soundtank" series. Versatile, good-sounding 8-stage phaser with speed, depth, and feedback controls. The case is in overall good shape, with the nametag intact. Power via 9 volt battery or standard Boss-style power supply. Jacks and pots are working fine. The switch is a little fussy, but that's normal for the Soundtank pedals.

I've had several of these pedals, my general impression is that they are well-designed, good sounding circuits built into low-budget pedals. This is a great box for someone who just wants a phaser around the house, or wants to use it in the studio. It would even work in a rack-drawer style effects setup. As long as you don't plan to spend much time actually stomping on it, it's a cool pedal.

$27 shipped to CONUS.

haha oh man what are the chances. I've been looking at that phaser thinking about selling it for like, a year, and like a dope, I post it today. :dunce:

Its cool bro, I'm gonna take mine down, and wait till yours sells.

But here's a bump for Rich. Very under-rated phaser that's probably 3x as versatile as a phase 90.

You may end up waiting a long time - they're not exactly beating down my door.

It's kind of surprising; the other Sound Turd pedals (Tank! I meant Sound Tank!) I had both sold fast. Every one I've tried has been versatile and sounded great. Mechanically, they are a bit iffy, but for occasional use, the studio, or mounting in a rack drawer they are a steal.

C'mon bro's! Buy my phaser. And then buy Nick's.

Agreed. The SoundTank tuberscreamer was great, the chorus was great, the echomachine was killer, and the phaser is awesome too.

Even if it's plastic, throw it in a true bypass loop, and stomp on THAT.

Yeah the SoundTank chorus is pretty **** good for a cheap chorus. Mine's up for sale though as I never use chorus anymore!

Re: Pssst! Wanna buy a Phaser cheap?

This thing's still sitting on my workbench looking lonely and unloved. It hindsite, rebuilding it into a tougher gig-worthy package would have been just as easy as modding the MXR Phase 90 I ended up with.

A versatile, good-sounding phaser needs a good home. Make me an offer folks.
