Pulling Tubes

I've got a class A Traynor YCV20. If I pull one of the tubes out, as far as I've derived from a thread I just read on here, it will bring it from 15 watts to 7.5. Am I right about this? My main question is, can this cause any damage to the amp, or cause any other problems or is it a pretty standard (and handy) manoeuver?

Re: Pulling Tubes

if it has 2 tubes YOU DONT WANT TO PULL EITHER OF THEM. if the amp has 4 you can pull two so that they are in parrallel (someone verify this) and the output impedance is half of what it really is.

4 tubes at 8 ohm = 2 tubes at 4 ohms ect.

Indeed.

Power tubes work as push/pull pairs...technically, it'll make noise with one tube or three tubes... just won't sound very good & eventually fry.
