P'up recommendations for an Agile AL3100

Picked up one of these Chinese LP knockoffs at an estate sasle for next to nothing and it is a pretty nice little guitar! Like alot of the lower end stuff the Pups are muddy and don't give the sound I like. I am not trying to make this an LP clone because that's just silly but think this baby can perform nicely in it's own right with some new Pups and maybe even Pots.

I was thinking PG's but am looking for suggestions/recommendations from those in the know and if you have swapped out an Agile even better (but they are all alike)

I like a clean tone but with some oomph and dial up some crunch and etc when wanted. I play classic and profgressive rock mostly.

thanks in advance

PAF's are great in LP's, very popular pairing around here. Duncan makes some excellent PAF's (Seth, '59, PG, A2P, Ant). If you want more horsepower in the bridge, a C8 or C5 works well in mahogany.

Thanks for the reco's. I did a JB/Jazz combo for a hollow body I re-tooled that I love but am thinking like you mentioned Blueman to give it more giddyup so might do a Seth/C5 combo but not as knowledgable as some to all the different PAF's and combos, even after listening to all the tone samples on this web site and such so am interested in opinions to combos and heck, I am still trying to learn all the Acronyms!!

For the Bridge:
C8, C5, C/59 hybrid

For the neck:
Pearly Gates, Screamin Demon, A2P, Seth

If you just want to get a matched set:
A2P, Seth
