I have a LTD maverick with a duncan designed single coil hot rail in the neck and a hb103 in the bridge. I added a coil split to the tone pot, and the sounds I can get out of the two pickups are so good I didn't bother swapping out the pickups for a SD hotrail/full shred combo I was planning on.
I hear mixed opinions on using the hot rail style pickups with 500k vs 250k tone and volume pots. I really want to have the option to use either when experimenting with sounds, can a push/pull volume pot achieve this? I know I can just solder resistors across either pot to drop the value but switching is preferable.
I was going to add a treble bleed circuit too but can't decide on which one.
